Long Valley Wolfpack Round-Robin Wrestling Tournament

Date: Saturday May 3^rd, 2008

Time: Wrestling to start at 9:00AM Sharp; ALL WRESTLERS MUST CHECK IN BY 8AM ON MAY 3^RD OR WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE BRACKETS

Location: Long Valley Middle School, 51 West Mill Road, Long Valley NJ 07853

Weigh-Ins: Honor System; a scale will be available at the tournament for challenges. If challenged, any wrestler exceeding their stated weight on the registration form by 1 pound or more will be disqualified without a refund, banned from participation in future WolfPack tournaments, and his/her name will be posted on the Long Valley WolfPack website (www.longvalleywrestling.org).

Weight Class & Divisions: Round-Robin Format: Wrestlers will be grouped by weight and age (proof of age must be available if challenged). Group age and weight differential will be limited to less than 5 pounds and 2 years wherever possible. Given the round-robin format, we’re not restricting age or weight (High School wrestlers are welcome). We will notify wrestlers on May 2^nd if there are no wrestlers in their age/weight group entered, and provide a full refund if that’s the case.

Rules: - NJSIAA Scholastic Wrestling Rules

- In the event of a 1^st-period pin, the pinning wrestler will be declared the victor, but in an effort to maximize mat time, the match will continue at the start of the second period with the wrestler who was pinned starting on top. If he’s pinned a second time, the match ends at that point.

- Round robin groups of 4, preferably; four mats will be used

- Each wrestler may only wrestle in one group.

- Headgear is MANDATORY

Awards: Medals for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place finishers

Entry Fee: - $20 Before April 18th - $25.00 thereafter.

- ALL registrations must be received by 5pm, May 1^st. NO WALK-INs

- If you’ve pre-registered, you’ll be provided a full refund if you notify us via email by noon, April 30^th that you won’t be competing.
